Web KPM 9.2 Beta testing
-
Dear beta testers,
We are pleased to announce Beta release of WebKPM 9.2 on MyKaspersky portal (my.kaspersky.com).
Important!
- We are performing Beta on Production. When you update KPM to a new version, the cloud storage will be converted to a new format. Another KPM clients on your devices connected the same account won't synchronize until it will be updated to the Beta version
- If you don’t want to use your current MyK account during beta-testing, create another one on my.kaspersky.com
- If you plan to use KPM 9.0 after Beta, you need to make a backup of your current secure vault in KPM for Windows before testing (see guide for Windows)
In order to join testing you need to:
- Sign in on MyKaspersky portal
- Set a cookie in your browser - https://my.kaspersky.com/Utility/SetCookie?name=8a5b85281c5a49cf87ba526195b35b6a&duration=365
- Wait 15 minutes for cache to be cleared
What’s new:
- We have changed secure vault to a new flexible format. There are no any visual changes, but a lot of work has been done. It is a very important change that can cause specific defects
- PDF files support added
- Categorization for images now available
- Detection of compromised passwords in your vault
How to return to a previous version:
- Delete a cookie from your browser - https://my.kaspersky.com/Utility/ClearCookie?name=8a5b85281c5a49cf87ba526195b35b6a
- Wait 15 minutes for cache to be cleared
- Restore back on your release version of KPM for Win (see guide for Windows)
Known issues:
- Migration from current release version to 9.2 doesn’t work, if there are any accounts (web or app) in the vault (as workaround – update to 9.2 any other client and then start using WebKPM 9.2)
- Incorrect migration from 8.6 version to 9.2 doesn’t work, if there are any accounts (web or app) in the vault (as workaround – update to 9.2 any other client and then start using WebKPM 9.2)
- Editing app accounts in WebKPM 9.2 causes crashes of other clients
