#5286 Would like to see Secure DNS option for the VPN
I would like to make a suggestion, that the VPN have the ability to choose to pick from a Secure DNS. Something like Next DNS or Quad 9. To increase the detection of malware and advertisements. If I want to have a VPN that does this, I have to purchase a specific one that has this optiion. I would really like to see this security measure enabled in upcoming releases. I think it will help to prevent malware and advertisements.
Operating system: Win 11, x64
System: 64 bit proccessor
Product Version: 16.0.0.+
Great suggestion! Using a secure DNS like NextDNS or Quad9 would add protection and privacy while browsing. Integrating options for secure DNS servers into the VPN client would be hugely beneficial for security-focused users. It would allow more customization and control over DNS, helping block malware, ads, and trackers. Hopefully, the VPN developers consider adding more configurable DNS options soon! Pickleballplay

@tinker Hello, usefull but you can setup in windows. And all programs will be connected to the internet via secure DNS. I have set it up in windows quad9. Simply change network adapter DNS to 126.96.36.199 thats it. But if you connected via Kaspersky VPN - then kaspersky change your DNS to american 198.51.100.1 primary and secondary (alternative) DNS 198.51.100.2. It is however kaspersky VPN uses hotspot shield core or services. And i see DNS check it is from Google (not trustworthy all about google).
