"Performance -> PC Speed-up -> Unused system files. Two new categories were added for this functionality

Folder C:\Windows.old.

This folder contains a previous version of the OS after upgrade installation. The folder C:\Windows.old is stored on your hard drive for several weeks after upgrade operation.

The category “Windows.old folder” can be detected by PC Speed-up automatic scan only.

The Checkbox for this category is unchecked after detection by default. Please check detection and deletion of the folder.

2. Unused .msi and .msp files located in the folder C:\Windows\Installer (the category “Folder Windows\Installer”)

Please backup the files with .msi and .msp extensions located in the folder C:\Windows\Installer prior to the tests

Check detection and deletion of the files related to the category “Folder Windows\Installer” and after that check the possibility to uninstall programs by Control Panel"

PS Does anybody have a system that contains the folder C:\Windows.old?
-

I'm trying to collect traces BUT I CAN'T!, tried 3 times but in all cases I got a GUI crashed of KPlus, and PCSpeedUp operations can't end.

I have already sent the dumps via KPlus integrated sending system (I added my nickname in the report).

Currently, I have no systems with that folder, I removed it in some systems using the own Windows integrated clean-up system.
-

Just installed new build RC of KPlus. It seems the GUI crashed has been fixed :)

Thank you for the report.

Try to move local system time to, for example, +3 days forward, run Speedup PC scan again and compare the results.

The files placed to the Temp folders should be of more than 2 days old.

Thank you.
-
