To begin testing you need to do next:

1. Install product

2. Update from public servers and reboot OS

3. Enable traces

4. Set Manual mode of Update

5. Set Update source: http://dnl-test.kaspersky-labs.com/test/ap (ftp://dnl-test.kaspersky-labs.com/test/ap)

6. Reboot OS

 

As usual I'd like to remind you:

1) If you found any problem, please, re-check it on the previous patch. Here we are looking only for bugs related to current patch.

  • Reproduction steps:

    1 use avp 2019 default settings: Perform actions auto and delete adwares.

    2 visit an Adware

    Actual result:

    Avp do not alert me the detection and do not process the Adware, as the result the user is suffering from unwanted Ads and banners.

    Expected Result:

    Avp pop up balloon to notify user that an adware was detected. User will take actions before he really use the bad program.

    Please, change your unwise method.

    It is default settings that malicious tools and adwares are deteled!!!!!!!!!!!

    Why somehow in latest patch for 2018 and build 2019, avp totally ignore Adwares???????

    I consider a big prograss in 2019 that there is  default settings to detect and fight adwares, but now such settings become useless. Without consulting your users' opinion, and without letting your users knowing it, such changes are made. 

    Also contact tech tech support to express my complain about this matter.

  • Reproduction steps:

    Try to stop protection & disable self protection & add exception rules

    Avp confirmation Prompt window will pop up

    Actual result:

    The window pop up with only its border line, inside is hollow. Sometimes you have to wait for a few seconds to let the window fully display. Sometimes you need to wait more than 10 seconds, and you can even drag the hollow window running on your desktop leaving residue image.

    Expected Result:

    The window pop up right after I choose to stop protection.

  • After installing Patch B beta in my KTS2019a (Es_Es), I can not change language from Spanish to English via SHIFT + F12, it was working fine with Patch A.

    Reproduction steps: no special steps to reproduce it, just installed patch B from beta server and rebooted the system.

    Actual result: I can not change language from Spanish to English via SHIFT + F12 (SHIFT + F5).

    Expected Result: change language GUI from Spanish to English and vice versa via SHIFT + F12 -> SHIFT + F5.

  • Reproduction steps:

    release some test samples which need user's confirm to process

    let OAS detect a smaple and choose to delete the sample

    Actual result:

    the sample will be deleted but sometimes the detection alert is re-diaplayed.

    Expected Result:

    the detection alert is gone and will not pop again after the disinfection progress finish

  • Reproduction steps:

    After I got bsod caused by klhk, I found my avp GUI can not load. 

    Actual result:

    There is no way to open avpui and dumps are write

    Expected Result:

    GUI loaded without error at OS srart up or manual open kaspersky

     Now I am unable to use kasersky from GUI. However, avp service is functoning normally, it fight malware in background and start with OS. I just can not open avp GUI.

    Maybe it is caused by previously BSOD, for unknown reason some key file or registry are damaged.

    Here are dumps, unluckly traces are not enabled when it happened and now I can not enable it without GUI.

  • Reproduction steps:

    1 disable OAS and decompress the sample from the archive

    2 restart avp to restore protection

    3 right click the sample and try choose KSN reputation, the windows with file detail opened

    4 avp report file deleted TWICE

    Actual result:

    avp report file deleted TWICE, and you can find Two identical reports in File Antivirus section.

    Two sets of same 'Object detected' 'Move to QB' 'Object deleted' can be find in report.

    Expected Result:

    No extra log can be find.

    Use the sample I upload, I can always reproduce the problem. Password for the sample: infected

    But it only seems to be trigger by mutiple access to the sample. In my reproduction, I left click the sample and than right click it to open KSN reputation--this looks should be considered as twice access to the sample.

    If I only left click it or decompress the sample from the archive when OAS is running, the prblem is not likely to be reproduced.
