Bug reports connected to the following problems of Home and Small Office products are received in this topic:

— OS (operation system) crashes;

— crashes of KFA\KAV\KIS\KTS;

— OS freezes cause of KFA\KAV\KIS\KTS(no such problem without product);

— KFA\KAV\KIS\KTS hangings.

 

Please write in this topic only about the problems that suits the list of components!

General requirements for bug-reports are written in Section 2 of testing guide.

 

All inappropriate messages will be deleted!

 

i | If possible use ZIP format for dump files archives.

 

! | All bug reports MUST have:

— the state of AppVerifier and DrvVerifier tools (enabled/disabled);

— the name of the dump file and the path to it (priority to the ftp data8);

— all actions that lead to the problem are described;

— traces of the product.

 


On pruduct's dump detection please check the state of BFE service — Base Filtering Engine.

For this in cmd input command:

sc query bfe

Dump from PC with disabled BFE or from VirtualBox (Oracle®) are not being processed.

    Reproduction steps:

    I infected a virtual windows 7 with malware(https://cloud.qainfo.ru/s/6yMeb3AsvvrHkwL password: infected) i double clicked all files starting 2-u(from top of the list down to the last file starting with u) and gave it a little time to install.

    Rebooted the virtual system and installed KIS, i think when KIS started after the installation those dumps where created.

    KIS started after a while and began to desinfect the system.

    Getting crashes since yesterday, when trying to access to some KTS2020 settings: Application Control -> Manage Applications, TAM -> manage blocks, etc..

    Get product/GUI freezing when accessing to some settings...

    I startet Command and Conquer: Zero Hour in WinXP Service Pack 3 compatibility mode, when this dump was created.

    Actual result:

    Reproduction steps:

    I started the TAM activate and analyse all programs scan, a few min after i started the scan KTS crashed. Reproducable for me so far.

    The same thing happens when i just click activate.

    Actual result:

    KTS crashed and restarted, TAM scan got canceled.

    Expected Result:

    TAM scan completes without problem.

    1. Run Full Scan->Quick Scan->Selective Scan->External Device Scan->Click Back->Update->Run Update->More tools->Manage Application->Software Update-Trusted Applications mode->Turn on scan all installed applications->Back->Vulnerability Scan->Clean and optimize->PC Cleaner->Unused Data Cleaner->Privacy Cleaner->Browser Configuration->Microsoft Windows Troubleshooting->Click Back->Click settings->Manage settings->Import Settings.

    Actual result:

    After click to Import Settings product crashed and generate dumps.

    Expected Result:

    Product is working stability.

    No special steps, just added my bank site and opened it in SM.

    Actual result:

    Got ad dump.

  • Real PC:

    Reproduction steps:

    I was playing a Starcraft 2 custom game, online against others, when the game lost connection.

    After i closed the game i saw that KTS was crashing.

    Firefox was running too, so not sure what the cause was.

    When i tried to restart KTS, it crashed with same dumps.

    EDIT: KTS wont start correctly anymore, it keeps crashing with those dumps. Will reinstall later today and see if that helps.

    Not sure when this dump was created, i think it was around the time i canceled the activate and analyse all programms for TAM.

    No special steps, I was just surfing in some sites, as usually do, with FireFox, and some other applications running (PopPeeper, Telegram, Trillian,...) , as usually daily working. App + Drv Verify Off.

    I started a TAM analyse all programms scan, few seconds after that, i got the dump, maybe even the moment it started.

    Actual result:

    2. Blocked two files avp.exe and avpui.exe.

    Actual result:

    After blocked files avp.exe and avpui.exe product crashed and generate damps.

    Expected Result:

    Product after blocked is working normal.

    Reproduction steps:

    I think this dump was created around the time i tried to get KTS back to normal stress levels, meaning around the time i stopped scans, changed settings back to normal.

    Or its related to the TAM system scan/analysis, i let that run a little longer after the stress test.

    I am not sure because i just discovered the dump.

    Reproduction steps:

    i put KTS under high load, by starting several different scans like quick and full scan, tam analysis and so on,

    increased the load by letting file-av scan several archivs,by changing the according settings and trying to open said archivs, basicly tried to force KTS to do as much as possible,

    During that avpui.exe crashed several times without dump, after i restarted the gui and pressed a few more "buttons" everything froze and i got this dump and the gui crashed again without dump.

    The ram usage of avp.exe was around 1.1gb when the dump got created.
