Bug reports connected to the following problems of Home and Small Office products are received in this topic:

— OS (operation system) crashes;

— crashes of KFA\KAV\KIS\KTS;

— OS freezes cause of KFA\KAV\KIS\KTS(no such problem without product);

— KFA\KAV\KIS\KTS hangings.

 

Please write in this topic only about the problems that suits the list of components!

General requirements for bug-reports are written in Section 2 of testing guide.

 

All inappropriate messages will be deleted!

 

i | If possible use ZIP format for dump files archives.

 

! | All bug reports MUST have:

— the state of AppVerifier and DrvVerifier tools (enabled/disabled);

— the name of the dump file and the path to it (priority to the ftp data8);

— all actions that lead to the problem are described;

— traces of the product.

 


On pruduct's dump detection please check the state of BFE service — Base Filtering Engine.

For this in cmd input command:

sc query bfe

Dump from PC with disabled BFE or from VirtualBox (Oracle®) are not being processed.

    No special steps, just selected a folder with some malware samples -> Scan for viruses

    Actual result:

    Got a GUI crash and product auto restarted...

    1. Run Full Scan->Quick Scan->Selective Scan.
    2. Open This PC and run scan Local disk C two time. 

    Actual result:

    After run Selective Scan product crashes.

    I ran a gsi scan, i think when the scan was done or around the end the crash happened

    Actual result:

    KTS crashed and restarted

  • Kaspersky Security Cloud 21.1.7.271 was working okay at first but after a day or two started repeatedly crashing.

    Application and driver verifiers are off.

  • Reproduction steps:

    Settings-Protection-Web Anti-Virus-Operation when a threat is detected

    The selection box is unresponsive, click repeatedly to prevent downloading, and then repeatedly crash.

    Actual result:

    1.Can't switch, and Kaba flashed back and crashed a few times more; Can switch, but click to save Kaba crashed and flashed back; Not crashed but can't switch

    2.After the Kaba crashes and crashes, there is a problem with the license and it needs to update the database file up to 100MB

    3.Protection is disabled due to licensing issues

    4.There is a very low probability of starting tracking flashback, only 1 time because of flashback, so no log is recorded.

    Expected Result:

    The application can switch normally

    Reproduction steps:

    1. Connect USB.
    2. Install Driver.
    3. Open Control Panel->Network and Sharing->Change adapter settings->Properties->Select Internet Protocol Version 4.
    4. Change DNS settings.
    5. Save settings.
    6. Reconnect USB modem.

    Actual result:

    In time reconnect usb modem product crashes.

    Expected Result:

    Reconnect Going on without crashes product.

    Reproduction steps:

    Started pc today then KTS started crashing due to that issue. Disabling system watcher fixes the issue i think.

    Actual result:

    Crash.... Crash

    Expected Result:

    No crash

  • Reproduction steps:

    Create a folder in C:\new folder

    right click it and select 'scan for virus.'

    avp crash and reload it self.

    Actual result:

    avp crash

    Expected Result:

    scan can be done successful.

    I am not sure that the reason for crash maybe is the same as #2342.

    Sadly dont know, found it in the afternoon and the dump was from the morning. I did surf in microsoft edge chromium, used nord vpn some time and played guild wars 2 today. Thats what i could think of.

    AVP do database update automaticlly --> crash suddenly.

    Actual result:

    Crash and restart itself. KIS convert to KFA and report License problem and ask for database updating.

    Expected Result:

    No crash.

    1. I opened KTS

    2. Clicked on my kaspersky

    3. entered my account and connected

    4. while it connected the dump was created

    I was testing/watching the myKaspersky device section to test the new functionatlity and look, might be related to the issue.

    Actual result:

    Dump was created during the establishing of the connection -> My kaspersky succesful connected

    Expected Result:

    no dump

    started my laptop and found a SRV1-dump

    Actual result:

    it wrotes a dump

    Expected Result:

    all is fine

    Opened FileAV Settings -> went to Scan files of Microsoft Office setting and got a crash...

    Product crashes in time implementation task.

    Expected Result: 

    All task backup complete without dumps.

    1. Run Update Anti-Virus->Full Scan->Quick Scan->Scan from Context Menu->Idle Scan->More Tools->Software Update->Vulnerability Scan->PC Cleaner->Unsed Data Cleaner->Privacy Cleaner->Browser Configuration->Microsoft Windows Troubleshooting.
    2. Run all task on 8 hours.

    Actual result:

    In time scan product crashes.

    Expected Result: 

    Scan complete without crashes.
