To begin testing you need to do next:

1. Install product

2. Update from public servers and reboot OS

3. Enable traces

4. Set Manual mode of Update

5. Set Update source: http://dnl-test.kaspersky-labs.com/test/ap (ftp://dnl-test.kaspersky-labs.com/test/ap)

6. Reboot OS

 

As usual I'd like to remind you:

1) If you found any problem, please, re-check it on the previous patch. Here we are looking only for bugs related to current patch.

  • Reproduction steps:

    I and other guy found the problem about a month ago, try to report the problem vis tech support, but it is too slow and low efficiency, still the problem can not be identified.

    The problem is that Kaspersky may consume too much cpu when I watch live stream media using Chrome.

    https://www.huya.com/ is a chinese Live website, recently I discover that sometimes kaspersky will eat about 30% cpu when I watch video using chrome. Reproduction is not always successfull, but it is highly likely to reprodcue when visit some hot branch, such as this one,https://www.huya.com/kpl

    When reproduced, you can see that chrome and avp service completely consume all cpu resources... and the live will hang.

    I uploaded many data to tech support, but still there is not even a bug ID.

    Since the problem can still be reproduced when updated to patch C, I choose to report here also.

    steps to collect data

    1 already completely disable paging file, there is no virtual memory at all

    2 Run xperf -on base+cswitch+compact_cswitch+dispatcher+fileio -stackwalk profile+cswitch+readythread -buffersize 1024 in cmd to start performance data collection.

    3 start chrome and watch stream media

    4 avp service quickly consume about 30% cpu

    5 Run xperf -d C:\trace.etl

    6 turn on kaspersky product traces and reproduce again, collect traces

    7 reproduce again, collect avp process dump.
